Aches and Pains

Craving: Deviled Eggs

Arrrghhh! I'm in pain. I must have slept in a wrong position last night because this morning I woke up with a terrible kink in my neck. It is super irritating and whenever I make sudden turns with my head, or I turn too many degrees beyond straight ahead, I get this sharp pain in my neck. It's gonna be a long long day I tell you.

Sigh...And there's just so much to do. I've got to run through quite a bit of stuff at work, as well as this Saturday's YF worship special and the YF lesson plan for the next couple of weeks to handle. Gonna need alot of strength and endurance here. So please please please keep me in your prayers yeah?

God bless.

Craving: Porridge with "yau char kwai"

Ok, so see. Here's the deal. I actually meant to post an entry last week. Infact I even wrote up the entry, i just didn't get around to posting it up. Time has passed though, so I'll have to retailor my post a little. I'm gonna split this post into two parts though, each for a different weekend.

Part 1 : TLC Retreat: Fraser's Hill

Though a little shorter then I would have liked, I still enjoyed my time at the retreat. The speaker was excellent and though he was probably a little too intellectual for some, I think most of us at the retreat benefitted from his talks. Mr. L.T. Jeyachandran didn't just give a one way talk as it usually is during sermons, but instead challenged us to think. It was this that gave the talks a refreshing change from the usual ones we, well at least I am used to.

There was also good fellowship up at the retreat. I got to spend time with different people and especially enjoyed the corridor talks and the captain ball game in the rain. It has been awhile since I've played a game of captain ball with the youths and I am looking forward to doing it more often.

I've always been sort of a hill top kind of guy, as in I enjoy cold climates and an being on a mountain much more then being by the beach. It just gives me a kind of peace and solitude you know. If I could have that kind of weather everyday, I'd be happy..:)

Part 2: Cacassone Marathon

Just this past weekend, I spent sometime hanging out with Heidi, Joseph and Shalom. We had lunch with Tim, Liz and Shaun at Marche, then proceeded back to my place for a Cacassone marathon. 3 freaking rounds I tell you. I used my experience to grab the first game but the other three soon caught up. Shalom was utterly demoralized by Jo in the second game, as he was faced with a never ending castle. Heidi and I in the meanwhile just quietly built our empires, unfortunately for me, a whopping 5 cloisters put Heidi far beyond the reach of any of us. Third game was a lot closer. With all of us tired, and Heidi having used up all her brain juices, the strategies were going crazy. However Joseph's farms finally won it for him in the end. Sadly poor Shalom was stuck in last place all three games. Hahaha. But it was all good fun. Really enjoyed spending the day with them....eventhough I found out that Heidi and Shalom had actually ditched me seperately to watch Shrek 3 earlier with their respective friends. Terrible people I tell you!!
