The day after D-Day
Cravings: Onion Soup (Homemade)
So it's the day after D-Day. The first magic Dissenssion Draft was between Charles, James and myself. Lots of fun building a deck on draft and I am definately looking forward to doing it again..:) It was a pretty close run. We played a race to 2, round robin style and both my matches went down the wire. Fortunately for me I managed to grind out the wins and was crowned the overall champion! Woo Hoo! Ofcourse it's only a imaginary crown but a very real free meal is still good enough a prize hehehe! Can't wait for the next draft...:P
Malaysia lost in the Thomas Cup on friday, and only now can I bring myself to talk about it. It is not so much the fact that we lost, but rather how we lost. Kuan Beng Hong should be shot! Ok maybe not shot but at least banned from playing for the national squad! After the first four exciting matches and being tied 2-2 with the Danes, it was Malaysia's hopes on Beng Hong's shoulders. Sad to say he floundered, and floundered bad. Infact he rarely showed any spark of spirit or fight. It was like he was a deer in headlights. Sheesh..all that hard work by our doubles teams only to go down like that. I'm not saying Lee Chong Wei and Hafiz are any less to blame...but at least they put up a fight! However kudos to Chong Ming - Koon Kiat and Tan Fook - Wan Wah. They put on an excellent performance and tied it all for us...now if only the whole team could perform at the same time...
