A Rant
Cravings: Funnel Cake
I just got back from a time of hanging out with Amy and Jee Leng. It's been ages seen we've hung out together and it was a good time of catching up and fellowshiping. We talked about all sorts of things and of the things was how hard it was finding help to organize the OA camp this year. Appalling isn't it? A church of 300 - 400 people and yet it is so hard to find workers. And it is not only for this ministry too. All ministries are facing problems with finding people who are willing to serve. Common excuses are "I'm too young.", "I've just started working", "I'm too busy with my job", "I'm too busy with my family", "Not now", "I'm too old", etc. The list just goes on and on. Finding time to serve is all about prioritizing. If you don't prioritize serving God, you'll just find something else to fill up that time and you'll never be free enough to serve. Speaking for experience, I can say that I'm busier now then when I first started to work. If I didn't make it a point to serve in the YF when I first started out, I don't think I'd be serving now. It would definately be harder for me to start now, when I've so many more responsibilities. Also we can't always be serving in the place we want. God calls us to where ever He wants us to be. There is this verse in the song "We are the body" by Casting Crowns that goes...
Jesus paid much too high a price,
For us to pick and choose who should come.
We're lucky God doesn't think like us. If He did, we would still probably be waiting for the Messiah. I'm sure Jesus didn't enjoy going to die on the cross. He probably had plenty of better things to do then to come to earth and die to save us. The great thing is, He did it anyway. And if we are the body of Christ, why aren't we doing the same?
Sorry...Just needed to get that rant of my chest.

Ya, that's a definitely great fellowshipping time.
It's really nice to share problems with people who can understand and who can pray together.
Well, I guess what we can do is to pray and have faith that God will show us the way and bring in the people.
