Barley

Cravings: Caviar on Crackers

So I'm back from Bali. My company sent us on a holiday trip there just this last weekend, and I'll have to say it was a soso trip. Soso because even though there were some fun times, I ultimately didn't get the chance to spend time on the beach. This was all due to some mix up in our tour schedule. On our second day which we were supposed to get time off in the afternoon for our own activities never materialized.

First off our guide from Malaysia was very inexperienced, even though she claims she has been to bali five times previously, it really seemed like she was there for the first time. Many things she didn't know, and every where we went she was taking pictures as well. Sheesh....anyway it seemed there was some miscommunication with the local guide and instead of our time off, we got booked for a spa instead. Not many wanted to go for the spa, and because of that a big ruckus ensued. The local guide was upset because he said the spa would charge him instead, so he asked our guide from Malaysia to go explain, and guess what....She refused!!! My goodness so unprofessional. One of the managers had to ask her forcefully to go explain before she would. Terrible.

All was not lost on the trip though. The scenery was excellent. Both at Tanah Lot temple and at the Kintamani Volcano. Got to enjoy a great time at "The Wave" bar in the Kuta area as well. The drinks there were cheap only RM10 for a glass of Barcadi Mix, and they were very generous with the Bacardi too. The bar was quite cool, with quite a nice band, as well as this bar top dancing girls (Which I suspect aren't actually girls if you catch my drift....)

There was alot of cheap stuff there as well. Bargaining everywhere you go is a must. Where ever you go you should be aiming for 60% - 70% discounts. It was ridiculous. Some places you can get down to 10% - 20% of the original price. Crazy, and really a shopaholics paradise.

Alright that's enough of my stories..on to the pictures. :)
