The Sunday Post

Craving : A Nice Juicy Peppercorn Char-broiled Tenderloin Steak

Things have been quite interesting over the last week, with lots of things happening. I had wanted to blog on friday about a outing on thursday, but I was too afraid I would give the game away for saturday. Hahaha..oh man now isn't that a mouthful. Yueen San and myself took Jee Lee out on thursday to celebrate her birthday. We spent half the time running around evangel and salvation. Jee Lee was so facinated by the 4-bible parallel bible. She just couldn't get over it. She was even thick face enough to suggest it as her birthday present...hahaha..too bad we already bought her one at that moment...hehehe.. looks like you'll just have to wait till next year! After that we ended up at KFC where we tried this Variety Bucket thing that they had. It was basically 3 Original, 3 Hot and Spicy, Large Nuggets, 2 Small Mash Potatoes and Wedges. WE were all quite full and this was a little too much, but we thought that it would be best because of the variety (hence the name :P). How ever as it turned out, we later discovered that there was a smaller version....so we blames you YS! hehehe...It was fun just hanging out and chit-chating...obviously it got alot more hilarious when we started to try and take pictures without the help of others. We moved from this table to that and finally settled on using the bottom of the bucket for a camera mount! Hahaha. A little late but....

Happy Birthday Jee Lee!

Now on to yesterday. I saw a pretty feel good thing yesterday. I saw a couple of friends, whom I had thought were drifting apart, being pretty close. It was a pleasant reminder to me that things that seem to be going bad can always make a turn around. Gives me a little hope I guess. :)

Now I had 2 parties to attend last night but I could only choose one...oh shucks look at the time..I need to run of to church now...well I guess I blog about this more when I get back. Till then ciaoz!

Bittersweet weekend

Craving : Homemade KFC!

As you can probably tell by the title of this post there are two sides to the coin for my weekend. I guess its best to start off with the not so good stuff first and then end on a good note. The not so good is being firmly reminded that in all relationships, friendships and otherwise, it always takes two hands to clap. And then again sometimes external factors come into play as well. Sort of like the teacher who comes and tells you to stop clapping in class. Sad isn't it. Hopefully however God willing, things will blow over, school will be out and the clapping can resume. (And yes I know that was pretty cryptic)

On to the good news. A good friend of mine accepted Christ! Woo Hoo! I'm so so happy and amazed with that. You cannot believe how estatic I was when I heard the news! Really made my day...so I guess that's one tick, for a prayer answered =)

44 Pink, 12 Red, 25 Purple

Craving : Deep fried worms

Last night was sushi night! Sushi King has been having a promotion over the last 4 days where everything off their conveyor belt only costs RM2 if you are privelage card holder. So ofcourse my friends and myself (4 card holders among us) decided we definately needed to partake of this great opportunity. 8 of us, and we finished up a total of 81 plates of sushi. That's about 10 plates each which is abotu 20 pieces of sushi each. Yeah..that's right..we're all pigs. We ate so much, they kept coming to take the pink plates back from us, because they were running out. But it was all good, and we got to eat most of what we wanted, even Fooz managed to get "high-classed" hands on some ebi-sushi before the night was out =P. On the whole it was a fun night and we all enjoyed hanging out..or at least I did..:)

On to other things....I have been coming across lots of sweet lines lately. You know the kind that either wants to make you go "Awwwwww...." or "Ewwwww!" depeding on gender and age. Came across a couple while watching an episode of One Tree Hill and came across another while reading my emails this morning. This are lines I will probably never use, just because I rather have things that are "real" instead of ripping it off from somewhere else. Ofcoruse there is the added fact that I doubt many girls will actually fall for these lines anymore. As a carrot-top friend of mine likes to say...."So Cheesy!" However I think I'll just share these 2 examples with you..:P

"I could hold you forever, and it still wouldn't be long enough" - One Tree Hill -

"He gave her 12 roses, 11 real and 1 fake and said "I'll love you till the last one dies," - my email-

Ramblings

Craving : Kidney and Mee Suah

Been a week since I last blogged. I guess I just haven't had that urge to blog lately. I am watching "Rockstar: INXS" on Astro right now and for somereason I feel like writing up an entry. I am a person who has lots of interests, seriously. That's why my hobbies cover a wide spectrum, ranging from cooking and reading to miniature painting to football to camping to poetry, with lots of others in between. This is fun becasue I get to experience many things. Unfortunately having so many hobbies really screws with time balancing. It is jut not possible for me to cover all my different hobbies, which is why I am torn sometimes. Take for instance my miniatures. I haven't painted in well over a month, and that isn't too good. In fact I have been asked to take part in a tournament that's coming up in decemeber, but I just don't know if I'll be able to get my painting done by then. Sigh...I guess there is no real purpose to this entry...just thinking out loud and letting my typing fingers run loose..hahaha!

Crazy cake run

Craving : Wild boar - roasted over an open flame

It has been a crazy weekend and even the fist half of the week started out tough. Thank God, HE took care of that and things are well on the way to being back to normal. Thanks to all of you who lent a ear and words of encouragement through it all. Thank you.

I just have to blog this next part. Last friday, I wasn't feeling too great and I had stuff on my mind. So it was nearing the end of the night and I was sending Shaun and Juni home after a yum cha session when as we passed May's house, it occured to me that I had forgotten to do something. I was supposed to buy a cake to celebrate some of the YF student's birthday after the FRIM trip on saturday. You can imagine my panic. I felt so bad that I could have forgotten something like this. At that time it was almost 12 and I was at my wits end. Then Juni suggested we make a cake, and I can tell you I wasn't too keen on that but with no other choice it had to be done. So after dropping Shaun off we headed towards tesco to go get the ingrediants. On the way there, Juni suggested we try checking out Hartamas instead, and so we headed there in the hope of finding a cake in some late oppening Secret Recipie branch. Neither of us had any idea where the branch was but we went by faith anyway. When we arrived in the area, we found no Secret Recipie but in our search suddenly Juni said "Look! A bakery!". My hopes weren't all that great for the place, but I found a parking sport and we gave it a go. All I can say is the Lord really provides. Because not only did they have cakes...but they did icing too! I was so relieved. So you guys..if you want to get a birthday cake at 1am+ in the morning, go to KIWI Xpress Bakery and Cafe in Sri Hartamas...:P
