A Long Time Coming

Craving: Deep friend prawns wrapped in bread

So I've been getting compalints recently about how lagging my blog has become. I understand that my last post has been more then a month old but real life and procastination has really been bogging me down. :P

As you can imagine, a lot of stuff can happen in one month, so brace yourself for another long and long winded post from yours truly,

First up is Easter. It was pretty packed and hectic last couple of weeks in March and even during the frist week of April leading up to Easter. The script was a short one about the walk to Emmaus and how Christ walked with Cleopas and his companion and yet they did not realize it was him. There was also a physical theater presentation as well as 3 other monologues in the whole presentation, two by Jesus and one by John the disciple. We didn't have too much time to put the whole thing together, only about a month or so i think, we were even making changes to arrangements and such on the very last practice itself! However, by God's grace we managed to pull through.

It was great fun working with this bunch and we even managed to discorver new mamak stalls along the way. I tell you Roti & Rice makes a mean garlic butter cheese naan. :) This production was also the debut of none other then Samuel Khoo. I think the kid is a natural comedian and he took well to his first role in the lime light.

However...on another note, there were some people who shall not be named (*cough* Heidi *cough*) who was supposed to come for Easter but didin't, and this is after she abandoned our ice-cream date too! Too much I tell you some people. Tsk Tsk.

The following week it was YF outing week. So my group as usual, (trust me it is as usual, since my group constantly reminds me how usual it is) had a food related outing. We had a brief try at breaking the mould and shooting for an ice-skating but sadly that plan fell through due to various reasons. Instead my group and a few from Weng Soon's group congregated at my house for some pizza and games. It was supposed to be Pizza, Ice-Kacang and games, but I couldn't find an ice-kacang machine.

Anyhow, Esther, May, Peter and myself went shopping before the outing and got the ingrediants. We spent a couple of hours foraging through Carrefour for toppings and what not. In the end we got some pork sausages, minced pork, onions, fresh button mushrooms, cheese and ice cream. Yum Yum. So we had delicious pizzas, played twister (which put me in positions I never want to be in again) and this assassin game I learnt from my NET in Teenstreet. Good fun, and good food. I wish I had pictures to show you. Nigel and Esther, I want those pictures!!! There was however more to follow.

Later that night after the youth had all left, Tim, Liz, Shaun and myself went to Hilton Sentral for a Chocolate Buffet. At RM 48++ it was no cheap affair, however the fare was limited and overall I did not find it all that worth it. There were lots of different chocolates and cakes, but the highlight was definately the sweet savouries. They had beef with chocolate sauce, scallops with chocolate sauce, duck wraps with chocolate sauce, and partially seared tuna with, guess what, that's right chocolate sauce. It wasn't all that great but it was an experience though. Thumbs up to the ambience especially. Beautiful place, and really condusive to just while the time away over good conversation and tea. The four of us sat there and chit chat into the wee hours of the morning. It's been awhile since my friends and myself have sat down and just chatted, and it was good catching up with Shaun too. maybe we'll go there another time, minus the chocolate buffet..:)

Ok I think that's all the updates I can cram into this one post. It's getting busy at work so my posts will definately be sporadic, but I'll try to post as often as I can. Woo hoo!
