A birthday weekend

Daily Quotes : "Do or do not there is no try" - Yoda-
Cravings : Kidney and Mee suah

Well hello there. There is just so much to talk about this time around. So much happened during the weekend, and I would have posted up all the info much earlier if I could post from home, but since I can't you will have to content yourselves with this very long blog.

Lets start with friday, the day in general was pretty normal. Had work, slacked abit since it was friday and did not really acomplish that much. I headed home a little early on friday, had an early birthday dinner with my parents. I got home to see a new electric gate getting put into place in my house. So much more convinient now that it is up. Wel my parents and I went for a steak dinner at Castel's. I have to tell you I probably will not be returning, the choices are very limited and though the steak was good, the rest of the food including the soup and potatoes wasn't. Definately striking it off my list. Still I had a great time just having some family time and chatting with my parents, something which I haven't been doing much off.

Later that night however I got kidnapped by two young ladies who took me galavanting into KL. Went to a club called Zouk to attend some event but discovered that it had been posponed. We decided to go in anyway, since we had free entrance due to one of the ladies being a member, unfortunately as luck would have had it, the other young lady was deemed too young to qualify for free entrance and had to pay. The scene was pretty sad because it was early, so we decided to take a walk to KLCC to while away the time. It was quite an enjoyable walk really and we chatted about all sorts of fun stuff. When we returned to Zouk, the crowd had increased but no one was dancing yet. It would be another thirty to fourty minutes before people started dancing. We decided to join in and soon we were dancing the night away. Lots of fun , and all three of us even moved on to the platform for awhile. I tell you dancing on a platform with two hot girls can be an ego boost, hahaha. (I have a feeling I'm gonna pay for that coment). There was also a vid cam moving around and I think we got into the shot more then once, not by choice but just because the camera-woman just kept hanging around our dance spot. We left at about 2am but were still not done and set out to go disturb someone. After a few unsuccessful attempts we manged to corner a friend at his house and drag him out to mamak with us till the wee hours of the morning.

Now you would have thought I had the sense to wake up late on sturday morning, but noooooo..I had to wake up early, because of some stupid phone call. Since it was my birthday (Happy Birthday to me!) I wasn't too grouchy. Found out that my mum had washed my car as a present, and that really made my day. (Thanks Mum!) Spent the morning MUSHing online and got in lots of fun RP(Roleplay for ye of the uninformed) then had a phone call interrupted nap before going for Youth fellowship. Youth was great as usual, eventhough I made a fool of myself trying to make wisecrack answers to questions when I have not been fully rested. It was so touching to have so many people wish me happy birthday and to know that they really cared (Thanks you all, you know who you are !).

After YF we and a few friends, 9 of us down from 18 thanks to those who ditched me (:P), went down to klang to have some seafood for dinner. As luck would have had it I left my wallet in church and one car had to go back and get it. It was also deemed that it would not be safe for me to drive without a license and so my friend took over the drivers seat. (:D) Such an embarassing thing to happen on my birthday don't you think? Lucky the rest of the night was uneventful and we had a great dinner of crabs, squid, mantis prawns, tofu, vegetables, lala and coconuts. Although I have to question the quality of those coconuts, I think someof them may have been feremented to the point of alcohol, because a "triangle "of people seemed to react strangely to it and started to beat the coconut meat into pulp.

Now for Sunday, where the makan highlight was a 15 person pizza party at Pizza Hut. The numbers grew from a meager five people for lunch to an astounding fifteen mostly due to the hot weather and lack of airconditioned eating establishment. The food was good and so was the fellowship, but I just have to say, who ever thought sweet patatoes go on a savoury pizza with cheese must have had his head up a toilet bowl. Football was fun and I even managed to score a header goal, all in all it was an average day for me in defense made some really big bloopers but had some good defending times too.

Monday! Hooray! Almost done! I went for BSF for the first time. I had heard alot about it from Jee Leng and had been thinking about joining it for awhile. I think God sent Foo Seng and Alvin to just give that push in the right direction. Quite important step for me as I should be getting real solid bible study now, and God willing that will help me with my work with youth as well as in my on walk with HIM.

Well then that brings me to the end, and boy am I glad I'm done! Yeeha!

The Third Day

Daily Quote : "Hey that dog you riding. What is it? A dire chihuahua or something?" -Bard to Gnome-
Craving : None, don't have much cravings on a full stomach.

Yes it's Wednesday. The middle of the week and half way through to the weekend. Now if only that weekend could get here a little sooner....Ok time to recap on the day before. Work was usual, nothing too interesting. After that however I went to get a devotional book from Evangel and catch dinner with some friends, namely Shelby (See! Your name is here!), Li Yee and KP. Mana tahu this Li Yee already got a date so only three of us were left. We sat down for dinner, had a chat, made a list, checked it twice.....and then decided on Swensen's for desert. So we called in more friends and proceeded to have 2 earthquakes for dessert (now now, enough with the Tsunami jokes). You would think that we would have been satisfied after this, but we then proceeded to ajourn to William's mamak for supper instead. Lots of good food...let's see what we ordered..

Charles = Kupu-Kupu Goreng (which turned out to be screw yang ada lubang)
Samuel = Carbonara
Yueen San = nothing
Shelby = Cheese Nann
Joshua = nothing
KP = nothing
myself = Bacon Cheese Nann.

Not bad fare for the night if I don't say so myself. Had lots of fun chatting and poking fun at each other and then we all went home.

NOTE : Man! What a lame blog entry! This is so sad..I must be getting writers block! Dang! Hopefully I'll write a better one tomorrow.

The day after

Daily Quote : None, I'm all quoted out
Craving : Kidney and Mee Suah

So it's the day after Valentine's, and I have got no interesting love stories to tell. Guess I'll just have to talk about my induction to the Single, Available and Not Desprate, Yeah! aka S.A.N.D.Y. club (ala KP). I had about resigned myself to an eventless Valentine's night at home when I recieved this call from 3 friends inviting me out for a movie. Even though I've seen the movie before (Constatine is definately only a one time show) but because it was free and I had nothing better to do I agreed to go along. In total there were four of us, 2 guys and 2 ladies, I would like to say it was a double date but I would just be kidding myself, infact I think the ladies were more in love with each other then anything (I sense reprecussions, thank goodness they don't read my blog). Anyways since we were all single Li Yee started of saying were SAD but that it meant Single Available and Not Desprate. KP then said it should be SAND instead, needless to say it all went down hill from there. And so that is how the S.A.N.D.Y. club was founded, we are expecting a bumper crop of members soon so please apply for membership immediately if you qualify.

Of Ang Pows, over priced choclates and flowers

Quote of the day : "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" - Author Unkown -
Craving : Pig Stomach Soup

GONG XI FA CHAI! First of all I must apologise for the really long absence of posts. My computer at home has been causing me problems and preventing me from blogging, and since I've been away from my office computer for about 2 weeks, I have not had the chance to blog. In fact I actually wrote an entry and tried to post it 10 times but couldn't. And since my mood has changed since then, I won't be posting that again.

So it's Valentine's Day, oh joy. It's that time of the year where lovers around the world celebrate love with chocolates, flowers and a nice dinner from restaurants that claim to have give Valentine discounts, but in reality inflate the normal price first then discount it. This is also the day that gives those singletons a confidence boost to approach/confess their feelings to a member of the opposite sex.

The thing is, Valentine's would really be a really sweet day, if only it wasn't so commercialized. These day's Valentine's is to buisnesses in February, what Christmas is in December, money, money, money. EVerybody is jumping on the Valentine bandwagon and this pink heart covered wagon has got a pretty hefty ticket price. I mean it's crazy how flowers can cost double, triple sometimes even 4 times the price of normal days. And strangely we (mostly dumb guys like me) still fork out obcene amounts of money and cave in to the need to give the love of our lives these Valentine stalwarts.

As for me this is gonna be a pretty quite Valentine's (as it is every year). Anything I would want or plan to do for Valentine's can only be detrimental to my future. So I'm just gonna stay home, in front of my computer and DotA all night. Sad? Well it's true.
